Summary:

Working with Engie & London Borough of Waltham Forest, IDP were the Technical Architects, Principal Designer and Landscape Architects on this £3 million new build residential development consisting of seventeen two and three bedroom apartments, inclusive of two ground floor apartments that meet the requirements of the wheelchair design guide. The development sits on a former residential care home site in Walthamstow.

Working closely with the local authority we delivered a sustainable project that has an energy efficiency standard that is 35% better than that required, we included extra insulation, PV’s on the roof (which feed back into the grid) and we achieved an air tightness rating of 3; again higher than the required standard. The scheme was delivered on time and in budget in October 2018 and was shortlisted for an LABC Excellence Award shortly after.
