Summary:

This new purpose-built Children’s Care Home in Nuneaton provides short-term residential care for children with emotional and behavioural disorders or early childhood trauma. The four homes, clad in timbers and zinc are nestled within a beautiful landscaped garden setting, and seek to provide a safe, nurturing & creative environment for the children.

Internally the homes offer interesting layouts that play with height and space to create pockets of activity throughout. A simple palette of natural materials and monochromes offer a backdrop to the colourful furniture and bespoke interiors, encouraging a calming environment bathed in natural light with framed views out to the garden.

We were involved with RIBA workstages 0 – 3 onward and the project was completed in summer 2022.
