Summary:

The Sansom Road development is a six-storey apartment building providing thirty-one apartments in the centre of Leytonstone, East London. Sited on a former car park and enclosed by three storey housing, the proposal was an opportunity for The London Borough of Waltham Forest to install a focal point within the area.

 

Following consultation with local residents the apartments have been designed to be spacious and diverse in occupancy, providing social rent housing for couples, large families and wheelchair users. Safety being a key concern in the area, the building will be awarded Secured By Design Gold, an aspiration that has been key to the design from conception through to the final build.
