The Emporium shortlisted for RICS Social Impact Award

We’re pleased to share that our recently completed project, The Emporium, has been shortlisted for two RICS Social Impact Awards in the Student Accommodation and Heritage categories.

The Emporium is one of the most complex and remarkable student accommodation developments. Overall it took seven years to convert the former Christopher Wray Lighting Factory from a semi derelict complex of Grade II listed houses and workshops into a state of the art 184 bed student facility for Empiric Student Property, stripping back layers of decay, weaving the historic spaces into the scheme, while connecting a bold new tower to provide sufficient new accommodation to make the development viable.
